Hanging Lake. . .Oct. 8, 2005

This was a crazy day! We left Denver at around noon and headed into the mountains. Jason's sister and a friend of hers were here from Pierre, SD. They had never been deep into the mountains before so we attempted to show them as much as we could in one day! Here is a pic from the top of Loveland Pass. . .gotta love CO weather. . i was hiking yesterday and got a sunburn in the 80 degree weather. . .today it was snowing!

behind the lake was another waterfall called Spouting Rock . . .the water came from a hole about 1/2 way up a 100' cliff! After the lake, we headed to Glenwood Springs for a soak in the hot springs then drove home through the first Rocky Mtn. snowstorm of the season! good times. ..  

Minneapolis and Maren. . .Sept.29-Oct.2, 2005

I flew to Minneopolis for the weekend to visit Maren! It was a PERFECT Minnesota fall weekend. . .we saw two shows (Cirque du Soleil's CORTEO (amazing!) and a comedy show at Brave New Workshop), went to the Como Zoo and the MN Zoo, did some rollerblading, ate good food, etc. . .

Maren and Rob will be getting married at this pavilion at Como Park in St. Paul. amazing views of the lake in the background!

On Saturday we went to the Minnesota Zoo. Rob took this great picture of one of the tiger "cubs" 

this poor beaver was trying to scratch his way through the glass :-(
